LWA provides Professional Training to a variety of professionals in the field, including
teachers, therapists, and administrators. The goal of Professional Training is to deliver
an understanding of autism spectrum disorders and a new “thinking set” through
which positive support in behavior development is used with the individual with autism
spectrum disorder, regardless of circumstance. Professional Training, like Parent and
Family Training, consists of both classroom instruction and practicum experience. The
Training combines classroom education with guided observation, and coaching.
